Members of the Vancouver Apneist Club will be starting the dive season by participating in the Vancouver Aquarium's 16th annual Lingcod Egg Mass Survey. Most participants use scuba but Vanapneists do the survey while freediving only. We will be heading out most weekends. The Vancouver Apneist Club will be hosting a series of pool training/practice sessions every second Wednesday evening at the UBC Aquatic Centre. We are renting two lanes of the pool for freedive training and skills development. New and prospective freedivers are welcome to come out but please contact us first.

Our pool time is from 8pm to 9pm but please show up at least a half hour earlier for briefing, stretching and gearing up.

One of our new diver friends from Victoria will be coming over from Victoria for a checkout dive so we're using this as an excuse to have an open water session for new and prospective recreational freedivers and snorkelers. We'll be gathering at Whytecliff Park, 12:30pm on Saturday, March 28th. Everyone is welcome but please let us know that you'll be coming.

It's still early in the season so a good wetsuit is essential. If you have equipment shortcomings then let us know about that as well and we'll see what we can arrange for you.
