This year's AGM will be preceded by a dive with the salmon in Capilano River. We will meet at the fish hatchery parking lot at 11am to assess the situation and get suited up for the dive.

Keep watch on the email list, if the conditions are hazardous (lots of rain beforehand making the river too rough) we will likely move the dive to Whytecliff.

The Vancouver Apneist Club is holding its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, September 12th, 4:00pm at Tom's place.

The Vancouver Apneist Club is re-starting its Wednesday pool training/practice sessions at the UBC Aquatic Centre. We are renting a lane of the pool for freedive training and skills development. New and prospective freedivers are welcome to come out but please contact us first.

Our pool time is from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm but please show up at least a half hour earlier for briefing, stretching and gearing up.

We have rented this pool time so just tell them you're with the freediving group. We're charging a $5 drop-in fee to cover the rental cost.

Heads up, freedivers!

We have a little group to dive Victoria's Ogden Point on the Saturday, changed from Friday, Oct 2, meeting 12 noon at the Ogden Point Dive Shop.

So far we have 5 divers, including 2 newbies who are experienced in snorkelling and need to be shown the practical merits of our sport.

After the dive, ~3pm, we will go to a local restaurant for lunch, venue to be decided onsite. Paul suggests a mexican place in the downtown area.
