Pool Training at UBC Pool

The Vancouver Apneist Club is hosting regular pool training/practice sessions on Wednesday evenings at the UBC Aquatic Centre. We are renting two lanes of the pool for freedive training and skills development. New and prospective freedivers are welcome to come out but please contact us first.

Our pool time is from 8:00pm to 9:30pm but please show up at least a half hour earlier for briefing, stretching and gearing up.

We have rented this pool time so just tell them you're with the freediving group. We're charging a $5 drop-in fee to cover the rental cost.

Line Diving at Ansell Place

We will be heading to Ansell Place for a bit of line diving on Saturday, June 2 wind and weather permitting. There is a low slack tide at 10:34am and a high slack at 5:50pm. If we dive in the morning, our island members must either get out of bed at 3:00am or spend the night in Vancouver. The option exists to get in the water at around 5:30pm to dive the evening slack tide. Watch your email to see what we decide on.
