- Divers should understand the risks involved and be of legal age or have guardian’s permission to participate in freediving activities.
- Divers should always use the buddy system in accordance with other safety protocols (surface time, dive flag, dive plans when appropriate etc.)
- Divers should have appropriate health conditions for diving or consult their doctor beforehand.
- While diving persons should not be intoxicated, overly tired, or otherwise unfit for strenuous activity and critical decision-making
- Divers should be aware and respectful of the species and environment they are in.
- Divers should be prepared for the weather conditions and tides they will be diving in.
- Divers should keep in mind that they are all ambassadors and examples for the sport of freediving.
