Code of Conduct for New Divers

  1. Divers should understand the risks involved and be of legal age or have guardian’s permission to participate in freediving activities.
  2. Divers should always use the buddy system in accordance with other safety protocols (surface time, dive flag, dive plans when appropriate etc.)
  3. Divers should have appropriate health conditions for diving or consult their doctor beforehand.
  4. While diving persons should not be intoxicated, overly tired, or otherwise unfit for strenuous activity and critical decision-making
  5. Divers should be aware and respectful of the species and environment they are in.
  6. Divers should be prepared for the weather conditions and tides they will be diving in.
  7. Divers should keep in mind that they are all ambassadors and examples for the sport of freediving.
