This document outlines the code of ethics for mentors while participating in the Vancouver Apneist Club’s Mentorship Program.
- Treat the new divers with respect and be understanding of their limitations.
- Insults, verbal/ physical abuse, sexual harassment is not to be used under any circumstance, this behavior will not be tolerated by the club from the mentor or new diver.
- New divers are not to be pushed out of their skill level or comfort zone.
- Do not put yourself at risk by pushing your own limits during your time with the new diver.
- Always uphold standard safety procedures/protocol and do not encourage solo diving.
