The Vancouver Apneist Freediving Club will be holding its third annual underwater pumpkin carving contest on Sunday, October 25th at Buntzen Lake. The gathering time is 10am.
Here are the rules for our contest:
Bring your own pumpkin
In order to keep the lake tidy, you must clean out your pumpkin before entering the water
No markings on the pumpkin before entering the water
All carving must be done underwater while holding your breath (but no minimum or maximum depth restrictions)
Recover all of your carved pieces
Each participant can carve their own pumpkin but must be partnered up with one or two other participants for safety
