The Vancouver Aquarium will be holding its annual BC Diver's Weekend on the weekend of January 21-22. This will be a scaled down event from previous years but CAFA will have a table and the Vancouver Apneist Freediving Club will be there to help out and meet the public. Be sure to come out to say hello. Admission to the aquarium that weekend his half price for people with dive certification cards. |

The winners of our fourth annual calendar photo contest have been determined. The calendar is now hot off the press and all paid up members will now get a free copy. We have a few extra printed up so if you want to get a calendar with your membership then it's not too late. Just go to the membership page and use the PayPal button. The annual BC Diver's weekend is January 22 to 23 this year. As usual, the Vancouver Apneist Freediving Club and the Canadian Association of Freediving and Apnea will be there to show the people how much fun it is to take in BC's underwater environment without tanks. More details to come. |

Our second annual calendar photo contest ends on November 15th. The top 12 ranked photos on this day will become the monthly photos in our club's 2010 calendar. Be sure to look at the contest gallery and rank each photo. You can also have a look at this page to see how the contest is progressing. All paid up members of the club get a free calendar just in time for Christmas so if you have been thinking about it, now is a good time to join. |

The Vancouver Apneist Freediving Club will once again have a display at the annual BC Diver's Weekend. Last year we gave a talk/slide/video presentation on recreational freediving in local water and hope to do the same again this year. This event is a great way to see the aquarium, the club and the greater diving community all at the same time. |
